The Ville de Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville has purchased an automated messaging system (AMS) so that is may quickly contact residents in case of emergencies such as an evacuation, urgent situation such as a boil water advisory, or other important alerts such as the closing of streets for road work.
The information in the municipality’s AMS data base consists of telephone numbers from the local white pages and information from its assessment role for a total of more than 9,000 telephone numbers in the municipality. To keep our telephone lists up to date, the Ville de Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville urges all residents to enter their current contact information in the AMS data bank (mobile phone, unlisted number, email address).
Confidentiality of Personal Information
All information entered in the AMS directory is held strictly confidential. No personal information in the data base will be made public nor will it be shared except when required by law. This information is used solely for alerts related to the health and safety of Saint-Bruno residents.
Change in Telephone Number
In case of a change in telephone number, residents must register again for the service using their new telephone number and deactivate their old account. To do so, go to the Saint-Bruno website or contact us at email@example.com.
The AMS system is unable to contact businesses whose telephone systems require selecting numbers from a menu or entering a telephone extension to talk to an employee. To benefit from this service, stores and companies are asked to enter an alternative telephone number in the municipality’s AMS data base (direct line or mobile phone).
The first automated telephone call was made in June 2013.

- If you did not receive this call, it means we don’t have your telephone number.

The municipality strongly encourages all residents to register for this service by adding their name and contact information to the AMS directory, either online or by mail (mobile phone, unlisted number).
When registering online, we suggest entering your regular home telephone number (land line). This contact information is usually listed in the white pages. By using your regular telephone number, you will access your personal information. If you do not have a land line, you can register using your mobile telephone number.
- Click on the link below to go to the Somum residents portal and request a password using your land or mobile telephone number.
- Within minutes, you will receive a call from the automated messaging system giving you your assigned password. Please make a note of it. This procedure can be performed anytime from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Access your account using your telephone number (user code) and the assigned password.
- Complete your profile by entering your contact information and any other telephone number or email address to which you wish to have emergency messages sent.

You can log on to your account with any of the telephone numbers registered in your account, as long as the number is valid and associated with the account.

Go back through the initial steps for obtaining a password (see “Steps” above). If the number you used to receive your password was one of the numbers registered in your account, you will be able to retrieve your existing account. Otherwise, the system will create a new account and you must again complete the form. Next, contact the municipality to deactivate your old account in order to update the data base and avoid having conflicting accounts.
Forget Your Password?
Go back through the initial steps for obtaining a password (see “Steps” above). The next time you log on, you will retrieve your existing account.
New Telephone Number
For a new telephone number, register again in the AMS directory using your new telephone number and by following the initial steps for obtaining a password (see “Steps” above). Once your new account has been created, you may register other telephone numbers to which you want alerts to be sent. Next, contact the municipality to deactivate your old account in order to update the data base and avoid having conflicting accounts.
