13 mars 2020 COVID-19: All Municipal Buildings Closed as of Friday, March 13, 2020
Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, March 13, 2020 – Following recommendations by the Gouvernement du Québec and the Direction de la santé publique (public health department) and as a precautionary measure, the Ville de Saint-Bruno will close, starting this morning, Friday, March 13, and until further notice, all its public buildings and facilities. Activities offered in these facilities, including classes in schools are cancelled.
Despite municipal buildings being closed to the public and the cancellation of activities, residents can still contact the town’s various departments at 450 653-2443 or by email at email@example.com. Residents can also stay informed of new developments by visiting the Web page stbruno.ca/coronavirus, and the municipality’s social media (Facebook and Twitter).
Also, Saint-Bruno has advised its suppliers that its administrative activities will continue as will supply activities.
Frequent re-evaluation of municipal activities
If the Québec government revises the risk level, Saint-Bruno will review its activities plan accordingly, always with the health of the population uppermost in mind.
Heightened monitoring of the situation
The municipality’s alert level has been adapted to the situation. Saint-Bruno continues with the measures established in its civil security plan to ensure the continuity of essential services. This also involves the mobilization of the emergency measures coordinating committee.
The municipality remains in frequent contact with the Direction de la santé publique de la Montérégie, the Ministère de la Sécurité publique du Québec and the regional directorate of the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation to closely monitor the evolution of the situation and ensure the safety of its residents.
